Russells Water Village Hall

Welcome to

the parish of bix & assendon

The Parish of Bix & Assendon is located in South Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom and consists of three hamlets: Lower Assendon, Middle Assendon and Bix.

The Assendons are low-lying in the beautiful Stonor Valley, just a mile or so outside of  Henley on Thames, home of the famous Henley Royal Regatta.

Bix is on the crest of the Chiltern Hills a mile or so West of the Assendons. Here you can find St James our Parish Church, Bix & Assendon Village Hall and the former village school.

The whole of the parish is within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has the benefit of well-kept footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes.

It has a rich assortment of natural and man-made features of curious, historical and scientific places of interest.
